Around 10:00 a.m. this morning, a loose dog was seen on Windy Ridge Road.  Description was; "looks like a greyhound but is brown; wearing a green halter; very thin.   I searched the road after hearing this but have not run across the dog.

Yes He is back home safe and sound.

Pittsboro Feed Store downtown makes tags and if you haven't been in there lately they now carry an extensive variety of dog food, treats, etc. 

There's a vending machine in PetSmart. I go to the one between Chapel Hill and Durham, near the Home Depot.

Your vet probably can do it. You can order online from places like this http://www.pettags.com/ and many others. It is probably worthwhile to get your dog microchipped, too.

I'm so glad she's home! That's a good way to start the new year.

Thanks for the emails and keeping your eye out for Summer.  A neighbor found her about a 1/2 mile away.  One would think the owner would have a dog tag made...

We have her home now.

Our four legged family member has gone missing.  She is a very friendly dog.  She is white with brown ears and has a collar on but no tags.  She kinda looks like wishbone.

While driving into Raleigh this morning, I saw a very handsome Boxer loose alongside the road on Alex Cockman Rd close to where it intersects with Highway 902.

The dog appeared to be wearing a radio collar and did not look very road-savvy - maybe got loose from an underground wire system?
