There were 6 deer in my yard tonight, I would rather hit a butterfly than one of those things. It is amazing to watch deer clear fences from a standstill.

Fortunately Mary I have plenty of vehicles to use when one is down, I worked on it last night but found I had another problem I need to address.

Quote from: mary51802 on Yesterday at 04:28:54 PMI have had a huge decrease in hummers at the feeder this week. I guess they are on the way south maybe?
Not seeing as much activity here either. Guess they are tired of this stinking heat/humidity/drought wave also!

Good job Silk!! Unfortunately I have been a butterfly murderer of late. Those little buggers just fly right at my windshield I cannot even do anything about it as they pop out of the woods!
Hope you get your car fixed OK.

Please tell us you drive a black car with a white racing stripe down the hood/ roof.    Now that would be hilarious!

It was an interesting ride home. I left Raleigh and my old car started making a banging noise. Well I nursed it out of Raleigh, through Cary and Apex, I even saw a part fly off of it pulling the hill out of Apex. The CV axle went bad and was making all sorts of racket. For once I drove the speed limit...

I'm sorry this didn't work out better for you. At least you were with him at the end. Bless you for being there for him.

I am so very sorry. I was so hoping you would get him home safely and that all would be well. He was such a beautiful cat.

The blessing is that you did find him and were with him through until the end.

Again, so sorry things ended this way.

chatterbox, I am so, so sorry for you and for JoJo. I am sitting here with tears in my eyes, so I know you are heartbroken. At least you did all the right things and thank-you for letting us know. Rest in peace, JoJo.

Go by Max's Dog Wash, where they often have puppies that are being fostered. And Petfinders is great. Also, since you're concerned about size, think of some breeds that would work for you and check for rescue groups, as well as searching Petfinders for those breeds.

Good luck--and lucky little pup ab...
