Yes sugar water MG if asking me. I don't use the dyed/packaged products.

Hummingbird time!

I know it's hard to believe, but the male ruby-throated hummingbirds have been sighted in NC in the last two weeks. Their native food supplies are two weeks, minimum, behind normal bloom times, so these little guys are likely very, very hungry.

They will eat all the blossoms and they are hungry now,  and that's what they have to eat now.

The folks at the animal shelter recognized her. This wasn't the first time she had gotten loose. They called her people, and they came for her.

I was kinda looking forward to a new addition to my family, but I guess I'll have to make do with the 7 I already have.

Found dog

Is somebody missing a little girl? She seems young, but she has her big dog teeth. She looks like a pit bull/lab mix, but about one quarter the size of what I would imagine one would be.

I found her sitting in the middle of White-Smith road near the Silk Hope-Gum Springs crossing.

I'll take her to the...

Pesky squirrels

For the first time ever I have just caught 5 squirrels in my pear trees eating blossoms. Does anyone know if they do this if it impairs leaf growth? I cannot find anything online.

Thanks!

Missing 3-legged dog on Old Graham Rd

Does anyone know if that missing three-legged dog was ever found? I remember they put a sign up for it. I just ran across a found 3-legged dog in Cumberland County. I know it is a long-shot but if it were my dog, I'd want to follow every lead. Here is the FB link: [url=https://www.facebook.com/2438751...

Silk.   Look at the Don Sulliavan training methods:

It is easy to understand and worked for me.    I like it because it is not treat based.   It works and I don't need a dog bisquit in my hand to get my dogs to listen.

Dog Obedience

Thanks! We like geese, even tho they CAN be a bit intimidating! Watching the geese, ducks, & peacock is better than watching tv.
